Sustainability
Limiting Product Volumes
By limiting our production run per design we can consciously look at limiting wastage, creating only volumes of garments that we hope to sell. We are not trend driven and FAST Fashion is not what we are about!
Focused on Reducing Modern Slavery
By partnering with local businesses we are able to trust that everyone involved in our production process are treated humanely. The majority of our garment manufacturing takes place in Bangladesh, however 100% of our Suppliers garment factories have been audited and have the highest degree of transparency and engagement.
Our Suppliers Code of Conduct for Labour Standards has been based and drawn from the standards set out by the Ethical Trade Initiative (ETI) and the International Labour Organisation (ILO) conventions. Companies applying this code are expected to comply with national and other applicable law and, where the provisions of law and this Code address the same subject, to apply that provision which affords the greater protection.
This code defines labour standards that aim to achieve safe, fair, legal and humane working conditions for everyone working in our supply chain.
Sustainable Materials in our Supply Chain
Our Supplier has a strong focus on sustainability and has recently joined to the Global non for profit Better Cotton Initiative (BCI) program with the specific aims to:
• Reduce the environmental impact of cotton production
• Improve livelihoods and economic development in cotton producing areas
• Improve commitment to and flow of Better Cotton throughout supply chain
• Ensure the credibility and sustainability of the Better Cotton Initiative
Minimising Waste throughout our Supply Chain
In an attempt to reduce our environmental footprint, single use materials are minimised throughout our supply chain. We have also opted to eliminate plastic garment swing tags and labelling on our products. Although this is a small step we are hoping that overtime we can be a part of a bigger change away from plastic use. We are currently investigating the use of recycled courier bags.
No Compromise on Quality
We endeavour to offer high quality products with zero compromise. Our Supplier uses a unique production process involving not only cut and sew but also the manufacture of textile yarn. This ensures the consistent high quality of our fabrics. Combed cotton is the main staple in our range. Combed cotton is made from long fibres with a fine weave making it ideal for printing. Various weights between: 120 – 220 GSM are used. Our designs are brought to life by an amazing local printing team based on the Gold Coast using a superb plastisol product that is both bright and bold but also long wearing and fade resistant.
